About
Hi there, I’m ElizaBeth, and I’ve spent my life between two worlds. Between countries and languages. Between what can be seen and measured, and what can only be felt.
My path
My first introduction to somatics was in 2013, when I was working as a personal assistant for a philanthropist who studied with Richard Strozzi. At the time, I was living month to month in Santa Barbara, CA, drawn to his programs but convinced they were out of reach: both because of finances and because I was in my early twenties, certain that I needed more life experience before guiding anyone else.
So I threw myself into fitness. I worked six to seven days a week, teaching classes, training clients, juggling side jobs, to make my career sustainable. I built programs like the top selling 21-Day Booty Core, trained celebrity clients, and received kind messages from people whose lives I’d impacted through movement. I was proud of my work.
But something didn’t feel fully aligned. I loved movement, yet I never fit into the fitness world. The culture felt performative, focused on weight loss and aesthetics I didn’t resonate with. My colleagues teased me for “squirming” at fitfluencer events, because my discomfort was palpable. I knew I wouldn’t stay a trainer for decades.
Working with 1:1 clients showed me how deeply emotions, spirit, and the body are interconnected, and that focusing solely on physical fitness was not my path. Fitness gave me resources, community, and opportunity, but it didn’t fill a deeper need: alignment with my own body, emotions, and presence. Over the years, I studied Reiki and Energy Medicine, curious about a more integrative path.
When gyms shut down in 2020, I realized how much of a toll gym culture and being a “fitfluencer” had taken on me. I also realized I wanted a career where experience, insight, and the wisdom that comes with age mattered. It was time to begin my transition, and within the year my curiosity about somatics was reignited through various teachers and certificate programs. Eventually I completed multi-year immersive study programs with Somatic Experiencing and Strozzi Institute, thirteen years after first hearing Richard Strozzi’s name.
Let this be a reminder to you: it’s never too late to pursue what you long for.
Over the past five years, somatics has allowed me to integrate over fifteen years of experience and education in exercise science with my studies of energy healing. Finally, I have a framework to connect body and energy in the way I had longed for. It feels like the path I was always meant to follow.
As I deepened my studies of somatics, I’ve transformed personally, walking through fire over and over again: moves, endings, burnouts, betrayal, chronic health issues and a level of stress I’d never been through before. There are so many stories to share, but I’ll save that for when we get to work together. Throughout all the chaos and upheaval, I found myself still needing to perform: for work, for the relationships. Performing was the one thing I still knew how to do, and it cost me. I had to find another way to take care of myself, and to build the next chapter of my life, and somatics helped me do that.
Through it all, I became someone who really likes herself.
I do this work because I know what it’s like to feel stuck in patterns that your mind understands but your body can’t release. I’ve lived the tension between knowing what to do and actually being able to do it, and I’ve seen how exhausting that disconnect can be. Somatics allows me to guide people out of overthinking, over-giving, and over-efforting, helping them access clarity, confidence, and alignment in their own bodies.
My why is simple: I want to invest in the people who care for other people and for the wellbeing of our planet. I want them to experience the gift of deepening embodiment, so their work is sustainable, supported and can have a bigger ripple effect, without taking so much of a toll on them.
My method
Every session is different, and that’s one of my favorite parts of the work. That said, here are some good things to know about working with me.
I believe that you are powerful, and that everything you need is already inside of you. Cliche, I know, but true. Our work together is to explore what already exists within, and create the conditions needed to bring it forward with more confidence and skill.
Joy and rest are a critical part of the work. Not to bypass or override the discomfort that’s going to come up, but as ground to sustain and resource you throughout your journey.
We are always practicing something. The better question is: is what you’re practicing aligned with who you long to be? This work will require you to practice, consistently and purposefully, to get results.
This work requires willingness to be vulnerable. There’s no getting around it. Believe me, I tried. And sometimes there are awkward silences.
Discomfort is required for growth. It’s required in workouts, it’s required in self-myofascial release, it’s required in the yin yoga classes I teach, and it’s required here. What stops people usually isn’t a missing insight. It’s that change asks you to be uncomfortable.
And I’m not asking you to endure more. You’re already good at that. Most of the people I work with have spent years overriding themselves and calling it discipline. That’s not what we’re doing here.
You can also expect to laugh. Somatic work is often funny. Bodies do unexpected things, and we’re both regularly surprised by what happens. Some of my favorite moments are when a client and I end up laughing together at how faithfully an old habit keeps arriving, right on schedule. This work goes deep, and it doesn’t have to be solemn. Levity and depth belong together, and I’ll bring both.
I curate brave spaces, not safe ones. That distinction matters to me. I can’t decide what’s safe for you. Your body knows what’s safe. What we can do together is find the conditions your growth actually needs.
What I don’t do: I don’t fix you or hand you the solution. I’m not here to tell you how to be, or make decisions for you. I’m not here to prescribe practices or give you diagnoses. And I’m not here to carry you. You’ll have to show up and do the work, in our sessions and between them.
You should also know: nothing fires me up more than seeing someone in their element, authentically expressing themself. Watching energy and vitality come back into a person, watching them express something they’d been holding onto: that’s the part I love. And the moment a client realizes we arrived where they wanted to go, even though neither of us knew the route when we set out, never stops being fulfilling.
Personally
I grew up in Silicon Valley, spent a year in elementary school in Spain and started my career in Santa Barbara. I now share my time between California and Spain. Living between two places shaped who I am, and I still live that way.
You can find me dipping in whatever body of water I can find, dancing to live music, and deep in my latest craft hobby, currently painting rocks. I’m a yes to almost any concert, and easy to find on the dance floor because I’m giving it everything I’ve got.
Trees get as much of my time as I can give them. I was raised among oaks, redwoods and sequoias, and they still feel like home. I house an unreasonable number of fiddle leaf figs, and I’m like a five-year-old in a candy store when I get to a farmers market.
A good workout class is still one of my favorite things. I love visiting sacred sites and exploring places of mesmerizing natural beauty, and I’m equally at home sleeping under the stars in the backcountry or in a beautiful hotel. And I will always say yes to a nourishing meal with people I love.
If you recognize yourself in any of this, let’s talk.

Gratitude & acknowledgments
I hold so much gratitude for the mentors, teachers, colleagues, clients, friends, family and loved ones that I share relationships with. Every movement instructor, meditation facilitator, coach and energy worker whose practice I have experienced has informed and inspired the way I teach and facilitate today. I am grateful for the people who have shown up to my classes as students, and the clients who have engaged my services: each of you has been a teacher to me too.
Peers and colleagues have also been deeply influential on my practice and being-ness. Thank you. Additionally, I hold so much gratitude for my benevolent ancestors, Mother Earth and all other supportive beings.
Experiences outside of the context of organized educational and certifying institutions have equally, if not more deeply, informed my practices and my being.
Alongside the teachers named in my training below, I hold particular gratitude for Toni Cupal, Louis Jackson, Heather McCall, and the late Jada Delaney, whose teaching and mentorship don’t appear on any certificate.
The somatic and energy healing lineages I have trained in carry knowledge far older than the institutions that certify it. Much of that knowledge comes from communities that were colonized, dispossessed, or otherwise made invisible in the record, and much of it reached me through teachers and traditions who were never credited for it. I name that rather than benefit from it quietly.
The work I offer in California takes place on the unceded ancestral territory of the Ohlone peoples, in the Los Altos area, and the Chumash people, in Santa Barbara. These lands were never ceded by treaty, and both peoples are here now.
I pay the Shuumi Land Tax, a voluntary contribution to the Sogorea Te’ Land Trust, which returns Indigenous land in the Bay Area to Indigenous stewardship. It isn’t a payment to the specific peoples whose land I name here, and it isn’t a settling of accounts. Anyone living on Ohlone land can calculate their own contribution.
The way that I show up in the world, and the work that I do, is shaped by my experiences and the people who have invested in relating with me. Thank you to all of you, including those who are not formally named here. And to my family and the friends who have carried me: you know who you are.
Education & certifications
Listed with the teachers who taught them, because in this field the lineage matters as much as the certificate.
